Relationship Building 101 - Where the magic happens

Whenever I speak about my company, I talk about the dying art of note writing and its importance. When you take the time to create a heartfelt message in writing (not an email), you are demonstrating how important that client/customer is to you. Yesterday was National Handwriting Day, so why not use this as a way to kickstart a new habit?

The art has to do with how good of a listener you are. In your interactions, your number one goal should be to learn as much about this individual as possible. It is Relationship Building 101. Listen, digest, take notes, then speak. Today we are so rushed to complete the to-do list that we need to remember what a five-minute call can do to further the relationship. The note is the icing on the cake. It significantly differentiates you.

When consulting with B2B clients, I advise becoming a consistent note writer.

1-    Let them know how important they are to you.

2-    Let them know why you are thinking about them today.

3-    Let them know why you care.

4-    Let them know how you feel.

Sharing feedback in this way is critical for business owners and any client-facing person on your team. Practice makes this an easier task. Use steps 1-4 above as a guide to share a quick note.

We strive to delight all of our customers and love hearing how our gifts were received. We'd love to hear what you think too. Tell us what you think in the comments or leave us a review on Google https://g.page/r/CZRbJat48VXREAI/

Building relationships should not be a mystery. A little time, energy, and effort go a long way. Get ready to watch the Magic Happen!
