Lucky for me, my friends are in Seattle and Hawaii. It doesn’t get much better than this.

I almost moved to Seattle in the 90’s, so going back is always a thrill for me. While visiting my dear friends in Seattle who I rarely get to see, we spent time chilling out, going to the beach, relaxing and shopping, fine restaurants and spending quatlity time together. It was just what the doctor ordered. The sun had not been out for most of the last 6 months, but it came out while I was there. YEAH! We could see the Cascades and Mount Rainier from my friend’s deck. Years ago we hiked Mount Rainier… wild flowers most of the way up and then snow on the top. Absolutely gorgeous. 

Then off to another adventure - Hawaii for 6 days. My friend greeted me with a lei and from the moment my feet hit the ground my trip exploded into a travelogue. While in Oʻahu I visited Waikīkī, Hanauma, Kāneʻohe Bay, Kailua Bay, the North Shore, Honolulu, Diamond Head and Pearl Harbor museums , mansions and palaces, war memorials, temples, 4 star restaurants, and the Mai Tai crawl. I also enjoyed the sun, sunsets, and the company of great friends.

I am so fortunate to have so many wonderful friends… I am grateful each and every day. I don’t take this for granted. 

The joy of spending time with friends and spending really quality time is something we don’t do often enough; especially when they live far away. Can’t wait to plan my next adventure…
