A Bit of Wisdom for Corporate Gift Giving – Introducing Our Gift Biz
Posted by Becky Briggs on 11/5/2010
As a virgin blogger and one who wants to add value to the lives of my readers, I thought I would introduce myself and my company and tell you who we are, what we are about and the vision I have for our blog.
I started Our Gift Biz 10 years ago as a boutique gift business providing services for corporations, companies and busy professionals who did not have the time, energy or passion for finding and sending gifts. Though they had the need for sending gifts (as a thank-you and often to show their gratitude), they did not know where to begin. This task seemed overwhelming to them.
With a 20 year corporate background, I knew there was a need for this type of gift business and that I could make this daunting task seamless for them. I knew it needed to be handled by someone who got it. Someone who had worked in the corporate environment and understood the relationship between the company and their clients; someone who had a keen design perspective and someone who was intrigued by the gift and food industry. And so began Our Gift Biz.
What sets up apart from our competition is that we know how to create an experience that matches the corporate brand. We get to know our clients and what is important to them. We learn about their relationship with their clients and customers and explore their budgets and expectations. Then we design the perfect gift or basket that always creates that “WOW” effect leaving a powerful, lasting, memorable experience.
I will be posting tidbits to help you understand the nuances of gift-giving, the subtleties and etiquette involved and tips on what to consider and how to look at gift-giving with a fresh set of eyes. I will share with you some of the stories, successes and lessons learned we have had with our corporate clients, companies and busy professionals.
My hope is that you will find this blog interesting, useful, valuable and fun. And that you will let me know your feedback, topics you would like me to discuss, and areas where you feel challenged with gift-giving and would like more info. Whether you are involved with a corporation, a company or are an individual who buys gifts, we want to hear from you.
Cheers,
Becky
